This Norfolk village a few miles out of Fakenham on the King’s Lynn road has a lovely old mill, now a restaurant it has been tastefully converted and retains many of the mills original features with low beamed ceilings.

During the Second World War, Sculthorpe was home to the RAF number 342 Squadron Bomber Command who arrived in 1943, as did the Number 21 squadron of Fighter Command. Later in 1953,the  USAF took over the base with the 47th bomb wing and remained until the 1960’s.
